The company will take all reasonably practicable steps to ensure that any of its activities do not harm its workforce, trainees, visitors, contractors, the environment or the local community. The Company will ensure that all hazardous substances are used and stored in the correct manner according to legal requirements.
Any Waste, hazardous or otherwise, that is produced by its activities will be disposed of in accordance with local, national, or EC regulations or requirements through a reputable waste disposal or reclamation company.
Hazardous materials that require disposal will be listed by product name, trade name or common name. Quantities will be recorded and stored in such a way as to pose no threat to employees or other who may be affected by it. The information gathered will then be given to the authorised contractor to ensure that the material is disposed of safely according to the requirements or regulations.
Manastra Ltd. will monitor the volumes of waste it produces and seek wherever possible to reduce such levels or seek ways of re-using/re-cycling materials.
The purchasing policy of the company will be to utilize environmentally friendly products wherever the product will provide satisfactory results and encourage others to do the same.
A waste strategy has been produced and the company will review this annually.
